Hiya Jay, nice to hear from you. Yeah I like all tags, but these days I don't really use any as I do most of my mail directly on the Gmail site on hubby's computer, but am hoping to get more respite soon and MAYBE I'll get back to tagging, but I'm not sure, right now I've lost total interest in it. I did add you in my friends on Fotki though :)

Thanks Jay. We did have a great time on New Year's Day, I know it's a lot of work for them (family) to put it all together, but it was worth it. I have some pictures of that day that I will upload soon, I was too tired last night and again tonight.
Tonight I bought him a Dell laptop in the hope that it will help him when I'm not around. He gets so bored and lonely when there is no therapy, like on week0end and holidays and I can't be there every hour of every day. I am so dead tired right now and in the morning I can't help but fall asleep after I have breakfast. I know he wants me there all the time, but it's very draining and if I continue like this I won't be any help to him if I fall sick myself. The problem is that I have nobody else to take over and give me a break once in a while, so it's very hard. I've been at it now for 2 months.

I do hope that they're wrong about the arm, but I see how it is, there is a big gap in his shoulder, one of the exercise is to shrug the shoulders, and he can't do it on the bad side. The arm is just like Jell-O, he just can't move it, and the stroke is now almost 2 months old. And for the first 1-1/2 months he wasn't getting any therapy for his arm, I don't think they did more than 2 or 3 times at the hospital and very primitive at that. I tried as best I could myself, but I wasn't sure what was to be done and I had problems with my back in doing them too.

We'll just have to wait and see and hope that God will prevail! I better get to bed, my eyes are just closing on me.

Thanks for the words of encouragement and support.

And here is another :)

We will be celebrating at the rehab with the family tonight, they are bringing all the food, just like they did at Christmas. It means a lot to both of us, specially Tony.

I was talking to the physio-therapist yesterday before she left - with Tony out of earshot. Looks like there is little hope for him to regain movements on his arm, although they will continue to work on it, the focus is to get him walking on his own. I asked how long she thinks they will keep him there with that objective in mind and she said about another 5-6 weeks. I cried so hard when I found out there was no hope for him to get movement in his arm, but didn't want him to know, so I tried my best to keep a good front. The therapist has not told him either, so I don't want to shatter his dreams, but one day he will have to know, and I know he will be very depressed then. But I try to stay upbeat with him, even though inside I'm dying!

Hope you have a great New Year!

Thanks for your comment. You will like it here, I joined Multiply about a year ago, and at that time I only used it to share pictures, but now I use it to blog (I used to be on Yahoo 360)
I hope that hubby will recover the use of his leg and arm quickly. Lucky for him he has his speech, though at times it is still slurred. His long term memory is still here, but there are some gaps I find, short term is sometimes not always there either. It's a long road ahead I know. I know with you YOU understand what it's like. All my friends sympathise, pray for his recovery, but don't really know what it's like - you don't unless you've been there!
As for Multiply theme, the one you are using was my first choice when I joined :).
You can join some Multiply groups to learn more about themes and you can get some already made by members. The one I have now was made by someone else, her link is listed in my links, and in my groups you'll find some groups you can join if you want to, to know more about themes etc.
